Guest Mix Series 

MARCH - AUGUST 2025
       The first two guest mixes for Community Function’s Guest Mix series featuring Detroit DJ’s Garrison XR and Dru Allan. The Guest Mix series aims to feature DJs and musicians that also echo the ethos of Community Function by building community through their music, the events they throw and their involvment in the underground dance scene. We also ask that their mixes be something maybe not for the club, but more of an introspective look into them as a DJ. I was very fortunate to get to create this series and along with creating artwork for it I also had the pleasure of interviewing these DJs and putting their accomplishments and hard work in the limelight for the rest of the dance music world to see. I consider them to be of the next wave of dance music coming out of Detroit and am very excited to continue this series with artists that push the narrative of dance music and community into the future.
