House is Home flyers

             House is Home is an event series thrown by Detroit hometown heroes Dru Allan and Medha Acahr. As long time friends and years spent DJing and throwing parties around Detroit together, they approached me to design the flyers for their series. House is Home focuses on curating events that highlight the true Detroit House sound featuring legends of the genre and newcomers alike all under the roof of Northern Lights Lounge, a venue near and dear to dancers all across Detroit. 

I offered a few different visual routes during the onset of the series aligned with what Dru and Medha were looking for and have begun to create one of my favorite flyer series to date - wrapped in a bow with our “meeple” dancing character and visual elements that are cohesive, punchy yet warm and playful. 

I’m honored to be the lead designer for another dance music series here in Detroit and can’t wait to expand this collection of flyers.
